In order for most plants to grow, they require water. Water awakens the nutrients of the soil as it makes its way to the roots. Humans are like plants. We need to be watered in order to grow.
Our watering takes place a little differently.
For us to grow in a healthy way, we need to receive water in a healthy environment. A place where love and kindness are nurtured and cherished. We need this place because when we get stung by the beetle of life, we need to be able to heal properly. We need to be pruned of the infection in a delicate way that encourages growth.
As a teacher, I try to teach my students that words matter; not just on paper but also the words we speak. When we choose words that don’t show love, we are spreading the infection left by the sting. We are damaging other people’s branches and causing them strife. Our words can either water with nutrients or water with poison.
I’ve always said that if I’m not growing, I’m dying. I crave the nutrients that makes me a better human. I crave being watered by the words of my Creator and love of family and friends. And, because you reap what you sow, I do my best to water nutritious words to others because I want them to grow as better humans as well.
Mistakes will happen. They’re supposed to. They are a part of the growth process. What matters is the type of water we are healed with. Water full of love and mercy is the water that brings for growth and life.
It’s watering day for my plants here at home and I make sure they are watered with love. In return, they live a beautiful life full of growth, love, and bold colors just as they should. How are you watering your plants today? How are you watering yourself? Your soul is thirsty, feed it with love. Feed it with joy. Feed it with kindness. Let it blossom and bloom as was intended. You are an amazing human. You deserve to see your full bloom of potential.
